I called this piece Felicita because I believe true happiness means being surrounded by energetic, joyful dogs. That kind of presence brings light and life into any space. When I paint dogs in an abstract, expressive style, I feel completely alive, connected to their movement, spirit, and emotion.
This work features three dogs captured in a moment of energy and harmony, using acrylics to highlight their shapes and freedom. Felicita is more than a painting, it’s a feeling.
This series began after I watched a documentary about dog breeding. I saw how dogs were being shaped through mixing different breeds, and that gave me the idea to construct them with colors instead, painting each one in vibrant fragments, as if they were built brushstroke by brushstroke.
